Friday Cat Photos + More Rainy Days - August 21 2026
Rainy days and Fridays always make me happy.
It's rained so hard this week last night Ray found a frog (or is it a toad?) - We had to relocate him to somewhere safe from all the cats!
It’s been another wet, rainy week but a good one - we caught up with both my family and rays family - Tuesday was Ray's dad's 88th birthday!
Sadly our tractor is still out of commission due to it raining. Everyone keeps asking Ray why he doesn’t work on it in the garage or carport which is so silly - tractors don’t break down in garages! It’s funny and frustrating at the same time.
And then, on top of everything else - our stove died. Ray was making his signature scrambled eggs and hash browns and the oven wouldn’t shut off. Oy vey.
Guest Cats This Week!
This week after talking to my cousin Jenny she sent me the cutest photos of her two cats and asked me to share them with all of you and of course I said yes!

I love catching up with my cousin, especially since she’s been doing a lot of cool things with AI so we can compare notes. See How I Currently Use AI creatively here.
Our Berryhill cats have all been hiding from the rain so I don’t have too many photos this week - so the guest cats are much appreciated! Hopefully Jenny will share more photos and stories about these cuties with us again!
I do have some photos of my plants to make up for the lack of cats in this post.

Here's the few cat photos I did catch in between rain clouds.

I Actually Love the Rain
I hope it doesn't come across that I don't love rain because I do, I really do. Things not going to plan and not being able to work on what you planned is a bummer but it's actually been a blessing.
- Ray's been able to catch up on video editing so hopefully we'll have some new videos out soon
- I cleaned out my garage art studio this past weekend in the rain - I feel good knowing a bunch of books + supplies I donated will find a new well loved home.
- It reminds me of a song I wrote called In the Rain. I don't have a recording of it yet but I'm working on practicing it so I can record it again soon.
- It reminds me to be grateful no matter what the situation. And I am so grateful for our life, even if it's crazy sometimes, even if things aren't going as planned.
As always I want to hear what you're up to and if you have any guest cats you might like to share send them to me at hello@chellestein.com. I'd love to meet them! Have a great weekend!
