Happy September + Friday Cat Photos
Burrito is laid back as usual on the front porch.

It’s been very hot this week, and when I say hot what I really mean is humid. Most days have been like stepping into a sauna so I’ve been hiding in the air conditioning with my sewing and Enchilada. (She loves napping in fabric scraps!)

Enchilada takes charge of my latest slow stitch project.
Here she is later sleeping in my basket of fabric of scraps, using my pin cushion as a pillow and snuggled up to a spool of thread

Even Taco decided to be a part of all the action, here he is with Suzy, my Singer 201.

We arent exactly sure what we’re making yet but I scored a beautiful box of 6 lbs of fabric scraps for only $3 this week so it’s definitely been a lot of fun thinking about all the possibilities!

Crystal has also been front and center this week, looking all beautiful as usual. I love this picture of her in the grass below.

Crystal poses perfectly for the camera.

I even got a very rare selfie of me and Crystal together!

Kind of a weird angle but Crystal was really wanting to cuddle me which is so rare for her - I had to try and capture it!

And then there’s “bad boy” McFloof. He’s been such a trouble maker this week - in addition to a few unusual spats between him and the other cats, he knocked a glass of ice water all over me! Which given the heat this week wasn’t actually that bad but he doesn’t normally do that kind of thing!

He might be bad but at least he’s cute!

Here’s another one of him - he was very proud to catch a stick!

Who says stick is just for dogs? McFloof loves his stick!

Then there’s Cookie, who accidentally gave me quite the 3 inch scratch down my arm after being startled while sitting on my lap - she‘s so sweet I forget just how sharp her claws can be.

She’s sweet and cute but be cautious of sudden loud noises!

And after last week’s frog, this week we spotted another smaller toad - he really blends in with the environment!

Can you spot the toad?

We haven’t named this guy yet so if you have any suggestions we’d love to hear them!

I hope you all had a good week and enjoy the holiday weekend and of course I love hearing from you - share your stories in the comments below or email me anytime hello@chellestein.com.
