Burrito ponders his next move as he hangs out in Groundhog Phil's Wifi Cafe

As promised, I'm bringing you cat photos this week and we've got some good ones!

This week my husband Ray has been working on filming a video in partnership with an outdoor wifi router company so we now have wifi outside on every corner of our property. Ray loves groundhogs, so fittingly this new wifi access point is called Groundhog Phil's Wifi Cafe. Who knows, our groundhogs might even use it!

It was a LOT of work to get the wifi set up, but it was all worth it. Below is a photo of how I found Ray + Cocoa in the backyard earlier this week as they worked on installing the outdoor wifi router.

Down in a hole, literally. Cue the Alice in Chains. Watch the short.

What I like most about the outdoor wifi is it means I can easily look up plants on Google's reverse image search when we are outside! This is useful because we always seem to get strange interesting plants out of nowhere. It will be nice to say, oh, that's a weed and rip it out right then and there.

Outdoor wifi also means we can stream Netflix in the backyard which might be fun for the kids to host a movie night with their friends one of these summer evenings!

Ray's also talking about setting up a birdfeeder cam now so that would be really fun! (Don't worry, all bird feeders are set up at ridiculous high heights around here to protect the birds from cats!)

On Monday It Rained

Okay, so rain on Monday probably doesn't sound that exciting, but this wasn't just any rain - this was a special kind of downpour rain that instantly transported me back to 1980's memories of rainy summer afternoons hanging out with my brothers and cousins as a kid.

Rain and Fog on our back deck.

This was the kind of rain that inspired the playlist I made called Rainy Afternoon featuring the soft 80s rock kind of songs we used to listen to back in the day.

Started a New Gluebook: The Everything Journal

This week I knew I was in desperate need of what I call paper-scissors therapy but I wasn't quite sure what to make. Fortunately, many years ago I wrote a whole post about how to make a gluebook that told me to just slap stuff down so I did - and look what we created!

I'm pretty excited by what's inside so far. Somehow as usual my "random slapping things down method" tells an interesting story that sums up what I've gone through this past month.

New Posts This Week

I published 3 blog posts total this week, here they are:

8 Words a Week - This is a new series I'm posting every Sunday. It's fun and if you're participating I'd love to see your words!

How I'm Currently Using AI - (Don't worry, it's not to make art or write blog posts - it's to organize my chaotic brain!)

My Break-Up Letter With WordPress - After 19 years of using WordPress I switched to the platform Ghost and am not looking back. (It's saving me $730 a month!)

The Cat Photos

And of course, without further ado, more cat photos for this week!
