What’s On My Desk This Week Oct 07 2026
Some of you may remember many years ago when I posted about my closet art studio. Well, the closet is the same but things do look a bit different now!
On Monday I decided to tackle organizing all of my digital files and graphics. I can’t wait to start creating more fun collage sheets and journal printables for you again! I transferred over 140,000 files from the cloud to my external portable hard drive - that is a lot!
While I was digging through files, I found the printable Halloween journal kit that was previously listed in my shop in 2021. I used this kit to make my Halloween Junk Journal and it’s just so cute with an eclectic mix of vintage and modern elements.
Here is a preview of everything in it:
Premium subscribers can download the kit here.
I am really excited to get these graphics sorted because it means I can start creating new downloads for you to enjoy! I started designing scrapbook and journal kits in 2010 if you can believe that - it’s so fun to do!
If you are as excited for printables as I am to make them, please take a minute and share with me what you like and actually use - this will help me prioritize what to post and make sure I am focused on creating the resources you need and dream about! A New Notebook for 8 Words a Week
Next to my laptop on my desk is a new traveler’s notebook dedicated to 8 Words a Week. I’m excited for this because it is so cool to flip through all the weeks so far and see how the words evolve.
If you haven’t tried 8 Words a Week yet, you can get started here.
New Halloween Themed Stitch Collages in Progress
To the right on my desk next to the iron you will see some gothic looking fabric and an Autumn/Pumpkin themed stitch collage that I hope to work on more later this week. I’m thinking I might make a witchy themed journal with the purple fabric but of course we will have to wait and see what happens!
In the Background: Music Recording Gear
I have to admit, I have not done much recording lately but that doesn’t mean music isn’t always running through my mind. Ray actually wrote 3 new songs the past few weeks and I’m hoping you’ll be able to hear them soon in our next video when it’s posted.
I also spent some time updating my Native Instruments Library in Logic Pro while I was waiting for files to transfer, so that is definitely something I want to play around with these upcoming weeks.
As always, there’s quite a bit going on at once (and much more in the background I haven’t even mentioned!) but it is fun this way - I am never ever bored!
What’s on your desk today? Tell me in the comments or email me anytime hello@chellestein.com. I would love to see what you’re creating or just hear about your week so far!
